When yet another model flaked on me within hours of the scheduled shoot (I have some sort of super power in attracting such treatment), my good friend Bucephalus agreed to step in and do a shoot in his Halloween costume. He's always fun to shoot, even willing to take the leap (literally) and do a "Halsman" shot, painful as it was in that crown of thorns made of nails!

This weekend I was asked by my good friend/model/personal trainer Mark Bryant to do some behind-the-scenes shots while he taped his workout DVD. It was a long shoot (6 hours), and I was out of my usual element (the studio and all its equipment and control), but I enjoyed the experience.
I have a sporadic, ongoing project to photograph myself being viewed by security cameras every time I encounter monitors (save for banks, where I'm very likely to be arrested). I figure if we've surrendered our rights to go about our business unobserved, we at least still have the right to document said observations.

Last night I ran--not walked--to see an old college chum, Lisa Dora Sanphillippo, to star in the title role of "What've We Done To Baby Jane," the innaugural production of her new production company.
