In Front of the Camera

One of the downsides of being a photographer is you rarely get to have any shots of yourself AT the event you're shooting or participating in. Thanks to another Flickr member, I found these two. (In the first shot, that's me on the far right (cough) in the kilt, and in the second shot, that's me up front with the Obama sign taped to my ass.)Sunday, June 29, 2008
Pride Sunday
Today is the Seattle LGBT Pride Parade, which I will not only try to photograph, but also march in as a member of the 43rd Legislative District Grassroots Organizing group contingent for Barack Obama. After the march, we'll offer Obama buttons and shirts, and sign-up volunteers and register voters.I'm taking my SLR camera, so I'll post whatever I can shoot when I'm not busy helping out with the above tasks.
Great Scott

As my final photoshoot at the studio (for a while at least, while I focus on volunteer work for the Obama campaign), I was pleased to work with a great friend, Bucephalus who's gifts as a model are matched by his openness and generosity as a friend. He's endowed not only with a great body but also a huge heart. Will post more as we process them...Sunday, June 22, 2008

Long time...
Yes, I've been busy running around Seattle (yes, in a UtiliKilt) registering voters and handing out Obama buttons and designing Obama-centric t-shirts for Seattle Gay Pride and doing whatever else I could for the campaign--and thus hardly no time to shoot any photos.I am heading to Spokane for the weekend for the Washington State Democratic Convention as an Obama delegate from the 43rd Legislative District. I hope to blog from there if the Holiday Inn has WiFi. If so, keep you're eyes peeled on my other, more political blog.
