It was another triumph for the
Brown Derby Series, a talented troupe of extremely funny actors who hilariously deconstruct popular movies with teeny-budget, spit-and-thrown-together staged-reading productions at Seattle's
ReBar. Their take on Mary Poppins included an all-male cast,
Swifter-shuffling ChimneySweeps, a string-of-expletives substitution for SuperCaliFragilisticExpialidocious, cocaine as a "spoonful of sugar" (with surrealistic results),
Uncle Albert as a huffer, and all manner of abominations both sexual and theatrical.
